The Book was written, originally to give Stafford owners an affordable guide to the breed, written in plain English with diagrams and photographs.
It covered all aspects of breeding, showing and rearing. It also explained the extension of the K.C. standard handed down by word of mouth to preserve true type and avoid deviations and exaggerations.
The decision to re-issue an updated version was taken as a result of many requests from many countries and anger that once out of print, the book was changing hands at high prices, which defeated the whole object I held dear.
I am proud that the Show Stafford Handbook has, on several occasions been voted the best book on the breed in a poll conducted on the Internet.
